Fall Conference 2010
The 2010 BCSSA Fall Conference Personalized Learning in the 21st Century: from Vision to Action will take place on Thursday, November 18 and Friday, November 19 at the Victoria Conference Centre. This conference will feature speakers Valerie Hannon, Tony McKay and Stuart Shanker who will lead participants through interactive sessions about new and innovative directions for BC education. The vision of personalized learning was introduced to attendees at the BCSSA Summer Academy in Kelowna this August. Valerie and Tony are returning to BC to help us as we move from vision to action with this transformation. They will help each of us to better understand personalized learning and its impact on our students, schools, systems and on ourselves. District teams of teachers, parents, district staff, trustees and community members are encouraged to attend. This will be an opportunity to develop and refine your plans to move this important transformative agenda forward in your schools and communities. Registration Registration fees have remained the same for the past four years, and we offer both a group and individual rate. We encourage you to bring a district team of five or more to take advantage of the lower rate. $390 per person in district team of five or more (plus HST) The BCSSA is using a new, user-friendly registration system for the fall conference. If you have any questions about the new system, please let us know.
