Valerie Hannon

Valerie Hannon Valerie Hannon is the Director of the Innovation Unit, UK, a not-for-profit enterprise that supports innovation in education, children’s services and government. She has worked independently with a range of Local Authorities, UK public agencies, and overseas education systems interested in building innovative capacity. She is a regular contributor to international conferences and seminars on these themes, working for both the OECD and ANZSOG (Australia and New Zealand School of Government). Valerie is a trustee of two not-for-profit organizations working in the field of creativity and learning.

Tony Mckay

Tony Mckay Tony Mckay is Executive Director of the Melbourne based Centre for Strategic Education, Australia, a Centre focused on leading educational thinking and practice at state, national and international levels. Tony specializes in the areas of school and system leadership, improvement and innovation. His work at state, national and international levels focuses on strategic thinking and facilitation for government bodies, education agencies, think tanks, school boards and leadership teams. It encompasses the areas of school and system leadership, improvement and innovation, teacher professionalism and curriculum and assessment policy.

Stuart Shanker

Stuart Shanker Stuart Shanker is Distinguished Research Professor of Philosophy and Psychology at York University. Among his awards are a Canada Council Doctoral Fellowship and Postdoctoral Fellowship; a Calgary Institute for the Humanities Fellowship; a University of Alberta Mactaggart Fellowship; an Iszaak Walton Killam Fellowship; and the Walter L. Gordon Fellowship at York University. He has received many grants, among them a $5,000,000 grant from the Harris Steel Foundation to establish the Milton and Ethel Harris Research Initiative (MEHRI), a state-of-the-art cognitive and social neuroscience institute at York University. In addition to serving as Director of MEHRI, Dr. Shanker is currently Director of the Council for Human Development and Past President of the Council of Early Child Development.
