1-Intro and Color

    The properties of a rock depend on what minerals it contains. There are several different properties to look for in minerals, as listed below. Some often-found minerals are quartz, mica, and feldspar. However, there are more than 3000 minerals, so many are EXTREMELY rare, and others are EXTREMELY common.

    Color: Many different minerals have the same color, anywhere from “speckled gray and white”, to “transparent”, to “pink.” Below is a mineral called “Chalcopyrite”, or “Peacock”
