4-Fluorescence and Chrystals
Fluorescence:
If a mineral that contains the property of fluorescence is subjected to ultra
violet light, it will appear to “fluoresce”. Under normal light, it would appear
like any other rock/mineral. Some examples are willemite, fluorite, and
calcite. Below are two images: one of willemite under normal light, and one of fluorite
under ultraviolet light.

Crystals: Some minerals are found in the shape of crystals
have straight edges, flat sides and regular angles. Some are soluble in water,
while others are not. Every mineral has its own specific shape, while some can
be seen with a magnifying glass, or with-out. Below is an image off a crystallized
pyrite.
