Long Term Disability Plan

The Joint Benefit Management Committee announced that the 2004 Long-Term Disability (LTD) renewal results were positive and, as a result, there was no premium increase for 2004. Minor LTD plan design changes were made to comply with pension plan requirements for service accrual of disabled members.

Purchase of Service - The TPP has modified the purchase of service rules to allow members to purchase leaves that ended before April 1, 2002, no later than March 31, 207, while an active TPP plan member. (If you terminated your employment with one TPP employer but became a plan member with a new TPP employer you may be eligilble to purchase your leave.)

Interprovincial Reciprocal Transfer Agreement - TPP members may be able to transfer service from another province's pension plan to the TPP under the agreement.
