Working as a Collaborative
Learning Community:
System Transformation
through Appreciative Inquiry

How can we inspire change leadership at all levels of the BC school system to achieve transformational learning and collaborative breakthroughs?

How can we create a high-involvement culture that supports innovation and learning?

Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is an opportunity to focus on ways we can positively move forward in enhancing learning by involving key stakeholders—teachers, principals, administrators, trustees, parents, students—in designing collaborative strategies for whole-system transformation.

Appreciative Inquiry is a model of change leadership that will maximize learning and innovation at all levels by creating forums for dialogue among diverse participants engaged in furthering the potential of the BC school system. It involves searching for the supporting factors that embolden and promote an enduring spirit—the central strengths and competencies that contribute to the exceptional potential and vitality of the entire system.
